Yorkville Teens Attempt to Hide $224 Worth of Merchandise in Purse: Police
The merchandise was recovered and the pair received citations for retail theft.

YORKVILLE, IL — Two Yorkville residents were arrested after putting items in a purse and then leaving a store.
Police say at around 4:20 p.m. Friday, Caira Y. Alcaraz, 18, of the 0-100 block of Timberview Lane, and Chauncey L. Moore, 18, of the 3700 block of Bailey Road, were in a business in the 900 block of Erica Lane. They allegedly concealed $224.73 worth of merchandise in Alcaraz’s purse and attempted to leave the store without paying, police said.
Police recovered all the merchandise from the pair and they both received citations for retail theft.
