Yorkville Woman on Drugs Caused 3-Vehicle Crash in Oswego: Police
A passenger in the woman's car was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

OSWEGO, IL — A 24-year-old Yorkville woman has been charged with driving under the influence of drugs after a multi-vehicle crash Thursday in Oswego.
Police say a 71-year-old Plainfield woman was traveling southbound on Harvey Rd. at 6:51 p.m. when she stopped at a stop sign. Francine C. Patton, of the 100 block of Quinsey Ln. in Yorkville, allegedly struck her from behind and pushed her into the intersection of Harvey and Wolfs Crossing. Patton then struck a utility pole and went into a ditch.
A 39-year-old Plainfield woman traveling northbound on Harvey swerved to avoid the accident and went into the ditch.

A 24-year-old passenger in Patton’s car was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. No other injuries were reported.
Patton has also been charged with failure to avoid an accident, possession of paraphernalia and possession of cannabis.
