Yorkville Woman's Body Ditched in Wooded Area After Fatal Drug Overdose

She was using drugs while driving around with an Aurora man, who ditched her body when she died, police say.

Aurora, IL — A 21-year-old Aurora man allegedly hid the body of a woman who had overdosed on drugs.

Bruno Muro, of the 300 block of Beach Street, was charged with concealment of death, according to the Aurora Police Department.

Police say Muro drove around Marisa MacDuff, 20, of Yorkville, while she was using drugs. She then overdosed and Muro allegedly hid her body in a wooded area behind an abandoned business in the 900 block of N. Lake St. Police found her body May 11.

Police credit a tip given to the Aurora Area Crime Stoppers for helping to solve the case.

Muro was taken into custody at his home without incident and is being held in lieu of $20,000 at the Kane County Correction Center in Geneva.

No one else has been charged in the investigation at this time.
