YPAC Youth Sell Tickets to Support 2018 Feed My Starving Children Packing Event

Take a night off cooking dinner and support the 2018 Feed My Starving Children packing event in Yorkville

YORKVILLE – Join the YPAC PEER Performing group for its fall service project, and you can take a night off cooking dinner and support the 2018 Feed My Starving Children packing event in Yorkville.

“PEER stands for Performers Encouraging and Establishing Relationships, and these youth work hard not only at dance but also at leadership,” said Bridget Nameche, Community Relations Director for YPAC Yorkville. “Community service is a key component of involvement with this performance group and all members have an opportunity to give back in a meaningful way. This fall, they chose to support the second annual Feed My Staving Children Yorkville Mobile Pack Event.”

YPAC PEER students are selling tickets for a take-out Olive Garden dinner on Wednesday, Nov. 1 from 4 to 8 p.m. Each $10 ticket includes a spaghetti and meatball dinner, including salad and breadstick, which can be picked up at Trinity United Methodist Church, 2505 Boomer Lane, Yorkville. Tickets are available now through Oct. 24 from YPAC PEER youth or at YPAC, 2161 Route 47, Yorkville.

“Each $10 ticket will provide 45 nutritionally complete meals for hungry youth around the world,” said Nameche. “And those meals will be packed right here in Kendall County by caring volunteers, including YPAC students and staff.”

All proceeds benefit the 2018 Feed My Staving Children Yorkville Mobile Pack Event, which has a goal of reaching $44,000 by year’s end. Feed My Starving Children is a non-profit organization, which provides packed meals specifically formulated for malnourished children.
