Silver Alert Cancelled In Search For Missing Vincennes Man

Indiana State Police, Vincennes Police Dept. said Jones was last seen 9 a.m. Monday, Sept. 11, 2017 in Vincennes before cancelling alert.

VINCENNES, IN — A recent Indiana Silver Alert on James Jones has been cancelled by officials at the request of the Vincennes Police Department. Any additional information concerning this cancellation may be obtained by contacting the Vincennes Police Department at 812-882-1631.

Indiana State Police report an Indiana Silver Alert has been issued as the Vincennes Police Department investigate disappearance of a man from Vincennes, located 127 miles southwest of Indianapolis. Police are searching for 72-year-old James Merlin Jones, who they describe as a white male, five-feet, nine-inches tall, 192 pounds, with grey hair and blue eyes. Police said Jones was last seen at 9 a.m. Monday, Sept. 11, 2017 in Vincennes wearing a red sweatshirt, khaki shorts, and tennis shoes, and is believed to be in danger.
