Lifeline Law awareness to be promoted at Carmel boys soccer game (youarecurrent.com) — Carmel families can head to Murray Stadium on Sept. 18 for Carmel High School boys soccer's Pack the House to Make Good Decisions night, spotlighting Indiana's Lifeline Law and alcohol safety. The evening includes a varsity match versus Homestead, scholarship fundraising, raffle baskets and T-shirt sales, all honoring former player Brett Finbloom and teaching students how to respond in alcohol emergencies.

Hazel Dell bridge demolition set as Carmel marks one month since historic flooding (wishtv.com) — Carmel officials are moving ahead with demolishing the flood-damaged Hazel Dell bridge as the city continues recovering one month after historic flooding. Mayor Sue Finkam says water demand is being met despite an offline 30-inch main, while Hazel Landing Park stays closed and long-term plans include rerouting Blue Woods Creek and reinforcing wastewater mains to better withstand future storms.
   

3. $39.9 million roundabout project set to begin at 146th Street, Hazel Dell Road (wishtv.com) — Drivers in Carmel should prepare for years of construction as Hamilton County launches a $39.9 million roundabout project at 146th Street and Hazel Dell Parkway on the Carmel–Noblesville border. Work is set to begin this fall and run through 2029, aiming to cut crashes and congestion along the busy 146th Street corridor, similar to the new Allisonville Road interchange.
   

4. From Carmel to Grand Slam glory: Rajeev Ram retires after historic tennis career (wthr.com) — Carmel residents are celebrating hometown tennis star Rajeev Ram, a Carmel High School state champion whose name now graces a school court, as he retires after a 22-year professional career.
