Director John Hughes’ 1986 cult classic film Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, featuring the rare 1961 Ferrari 250 GT California Spyder, is sure to entice car lovers to the track that has so much classic car spirit.
Taking place in the lakebed, parking will begin at 5:00 p.m. with gates closing at 6:00 p.m. before the movie begins at 6:30 p.m. At registration, food options will be available for pre-order online and can be picked up on arrival.

Social distancing and PPE protocols will be observed. At registration, no-touch temperature checks will be done for every passenger, and cars will be spaced at least six feet apart. Each vehicle may be occupied by members of the same household.
In response to the recent devastating fires across the county, all ticket proceeds will go directly to the Monterey County Fire Relief Fund. Pricing for the movie is $20 for Hagerty Drivers Club members, and $40 for non-members.
Want to view the movie in style like Ferris himself? Monterey Touring Vehicles is offering a special 50% discount on their wide selection of classic and exotic cars for rentals on the 29th with the discount code FERRIS1029. Cars that will be picked up are eligible for the discount, those that need to be delivered will not.
Fun Ferrari Fact: While there were three replicas used in the movie, a genuine 250 GT California Spyder -- one of only 100 ever made -- was used for close-up shots. While the original is worth around $17 million, in January of this year, one of the replicas hit the auction block and still fetched a hefty sum of $396,000.
