Indianapolis Has Largest Nonprofit In Indiana: Report
The largest nonprofits in the U.S. include one in Indianapolis: Report

ACROSS INDIANA -- Kittleman, an executive search firm for nonprofits, has found the largest nonprofits in each state, to help show their impact in the U.S., including Indiana's, which is in the middle of one of its biggest months. Kittleman says the Bureau of Labor Statistics found that nonprofits account for 11.4 million jobs in the U.S. and 10.3% of all private sector employment. Kittleman calculated the total receipts (donations) and assets of nonprofits across the U.S. to find the largest in each state.
Indiana's largest nonprofit is the NCAA (National Collegiate Athletic Association), establishd in 1956 and located in downtown Indianapolis. Kittleman found the NCAA has more than $9,200,000 in donation receipts and just under $760,000,000 in assets.
The NCAA Tournament, known by college basketball fans as March Madness is underway, taking over the TVs and minds of millions across the U.S.
