Police Say Indiana Murder Suspect Killed Himself In Arkansas

JONESBORO, ARK., — The Associated Press reports police say a man wanted for questioning in a recent double-murder in Indianapolis has died in Arkansas from an apparent suicide. AP reports Jonesboro Police Sgt. Cassie Brandon said 29-year-old Darrel Jackson was found dead Friday inside a car in Jonesboro with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. According to the news outlet, a police report says a handgun was recovered at the scene.
Jackson was wanted for questioning in the deaths of sisters Meredith Opel, 20, and Mallory Jackson, 27, according to Indianapolis Police Sgt. Chris Wilburn. According to AP, Wilburn says the two women were found dead Friday with trauma to their bodies, however the causes of their deaths have not been determined.
Wilburn said police are trying to figure out if Darrel Jackson and Mallory Jackson are related, and why Darrel Jackson went to Jonesboro, about 365 miles from Indianapolis.
