Columbus continues to seek your thoughts on parks plans (1010wcsi.com) — Columbus residents are being asked right now to help shape the future of Donner, Mill Race, and the entire city parks system through a new online planning portal. You can review proposals, share feedback, and watch for a community survey coming later this fall, all aimed at guiding the next five-year parks master plan.
2. 30th Annual Hot Rods and Rock & Roll (therepublic.com) — Downtown Columbus will host the 30th Annual Hot Rods and Rock & Roll this Saturday from 3 to 9 p.m., featuring a large car show and free evening concert. Thousands are expected for the family-friendly event, with Rick K and the Allnighters performing classic hits and local restaurants and shops welcoming visitors throughout the day.
3. Spotlight: Austin Cowen On Nine Years Behind Wrestling's Camera Work (wrestlingheadlines.com) — EMERGE Wrestling's roaming cameraman Austin Cowen regularly makes a 90-minute drive to Columbus, helping shape how local fans and online viewers experience the promotion's shows. He explains how he anticipates big moments, manages the risks of working at ringside, and spends hours editing each event. His behind-the-scenes work supports EMERGE's growth and the wrestling scene centered in Columbus.
4. Crimson Pride women win, men fall vs. Harris-Stowe (therepublic.com) — IU Columbus women's soccer earned a 2–1 home win over Harris-Stowe, highlighted by a first collegiate goal from Columbus East graduate Nadia Harris, while the men's team fell 3–0 in the nightcap. Both Crimson Pride squads return to action Saturday at NexusPark in Columbus, hosting Goshen with the women playing at 1 p.m. and the men at 3:30 p.m.
