He's now held without bond in Cook County Jail pending extradition to Indiana, and additional charges are expected from the pursuit.
   

• Feds play the Greek card in Indiana gambling case and lose, vow a new play (nbcchicago.com) — A federal judge in Hammond granted bond and home confinement to alleged gambling boss James "Jimmy the Greek" Gerodemos, despite prosecutors' warnings he could threaten victims or flee. The case has an East Chicago angle, recalling fugitive ex-councilman Frank Kollintzas, who once appeared dining with Gerodemos in Greece after fleeing a massive city corruption tab.
