Annual Leaf Pick Up Begins Monday, Oct. 19, In Evansville

This service is available to city residents who pay for trash service with their water bill, including newly-annexed areas.

The Evansville Water and Sewer Utility announces that the Annual Fall Leaf Pickup will begin Monday, October 19, and will run through Friday, December 11 for a period of eight (8) weeks. This annual service is available to city residents who pay for trash service with their water bill, including newly-annexed areas. Apartment complexes, mobile home communities and business/commercial customers are not eligible.

Leaves must be contained in bio-degradable plastic or paper leaf bags or in containers and be placed in manageable, organized piles on the same day of trash service but separate from where the normal weekly trash is collected. The bags should be placed at the pickup location before 6 a.m. on the normal days of collection. These bags should only be placed at the pickup location on your normal day of trash collection.

Leaves not in biodegradable bags that do not meet these requirements will not be picked up. Residence with leaves not in the biodegradable bags will be notified to re-bag their leaves in biodegradable bags and they will be picked up on the following week.
