Child Fires Shot In Ikea After Finding Customer's Gun
Fishers police are investigating after a kid found a firearm in a piece of furniture at Ikea, before pulling the trigger.

FISHERS, IN — An investigation is under way after a child found a gun and fired a shot at Ikea in Fishers Monday afternoon. WISH reported the incident took place around 2 p.m. when a store customer sat down on a couch where his gun fell out of his pants and got caught in a piece of furniture. Sgt. Tom Weger with Fisher Police Department said the man got up to walk around the store without noticing his gun was gone, when the child sat down, found the firearm and pulled the trigger, WISH reported.
Officials say no one was injured, however evidence and information from witnesses will be sent to the Hamilton County prosecutor as the investigation continues.
The store, located at 11400 Ikea Way, opened back up at 4 p.m. when the scene was cleared, WISH reported.
