Fishers Celebrates Grand Opening of Indiana IoT Lab - Fishers

Hundreds of people are expected to attend the City of Fishers grand opening celebration of this first-of-its-kind lab: Report

FISHERS, IN -- Fishers Mayor Scott Fadness and Launch Fishers CEO John Wechsler will join key sponsors, tenants and community members Wednesday night, March 21 to celebrate the grand opening The Indiana IoT Lab - Fishers. The new lab is the state's first-ever space dedicated to IoT (Internet of Things). City officials say Fishers is focused on bringing companies, startups and entrepreneurs together to innovate around IoT.

According to city officials, more than 700 people are expected to come out to the grand opening celebration, which runs from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the new lab location, 9059 Technology Lane.

The event will include demos and the opportunity to learn more about the impact of the future of Internet of Things for Indiana’s economy. The Indiana IoT Lab – Fishers is designed to unite the emerging IoT sector as a lab for innovation and collaboration, as entrepreneurs and businesses will have the space they need to bring key components of IoT solutions together, city officials say. These include cloud computing, edge technology, software development and design thinking.

According to the city, The Indiana IoT Lab- Fishers will be a way for entrepreneurs and businesses to launch the technology solutions needed to meet our world's growing technology needs.
