Fishers Ikea Donating Beds To Exodus Refugees Immigration

Fishers Ikea is donating dozens of beds to an Indianapolis refugee center: Report

FISHERS, IN — Ikea in Fishers is doing its parts to help refugees in Indianapolis. The Fishers location is donating 51 beds to Exodus Refugees Immigration in Indianapolis, as part of the Sweden-based furniture company's worldwide efforts to help out those who've been displaced, The Indianapolis Star reports. Ikea in Fishers is donating 18 full-sized and 33 twin beds to the Indianapolis spot, which IndyStar says has helped thousands of refugees find homes for nearly four decades.

The local donations are part of a bigger Ikea effort to donate thousands of beds and bedding to refugees trying to start over in new cities where there are Ikea locations.

Exodus Refugee Indianapolis, 2457 E. Washington St., relies on private donations for families and doesn't receive many donations from large corporations, IndyStar says.
