Fishers Patch Readers: Thank You For Sharing In Fishers 1st Year
Fishers Patch has passed the one year mark. Here's a look at how you, our readers, have helped us grow since launching in 2017.

FISHERS, IN — Just two months after making Fishers my new home town, it felt even more like home when Fishers Patch launched. It's been a year of learning, exploring and growing since that big day in July 2017 when this website went live, and that will only continue thanks to you. It's truly because of Fishers Patch readers that we're able to continue opening our eyes to what's right in front of us and publishing new content each day, and we want to sincerely thank you for taking time out of your busy days to spend a few moments with Patch. We see the visiting, reading, commenting, sharing and contributions you make to Fishers Patch. None of these efforts are taken for granted and will always be appreciated as we continue growing, and I continue learning more about our home.
Here's a look at how you've helped Fishers Patch grow over the last year.
Fishers Patch has recorded nearly 100,000 visitors this last year. That figure — compiled and verified through Google Analytics — includes readers on desktop, laptop, tablet, mobile and our app, and our visitors often access Patch on several devices over the month from near and far.

Hundreds of Fishers Patch readers have subscribed to our free daily newsletter since its launch. Wait? You don't get our email? Subscribe for free and let us do the rest. We'd love to hear what you've enjoyed reading in these, and/or what you'd like to read more or less of. Many news websites are limiting access to free articles, but Patch articles and events by our journalists and our users are always free to view.
Got news tips or event details to share? I'm Rebecca Bream (Hughes), your local editor and reporter, and I want to know the type of stories and content that grab your attention. Similar to what I wrote at the beginning of this piece, myself and Patch came to Fishers around the same time as my first task as reporter and editor was to launch this city's Patch website. In a world dependent on the quickest and most convenient methods, I learned during my nearly six years out of college that Patch is the best way to get accurate news updates. Whether it's through a smart phone app, tablet or computer, you can find us on social media platforms, the app store (see below) and websites.

Patch has it all and found me when I was also looking for them back in June 2017. In 2017, I got married, moved into a new house and began my role at Patch. There was no looking back. When I'm not writing up the latest piece, I love meeting new people, chugging more coffee than I should, (shout out to The Well Coffeehouse in Fishers and Bee Coffee Roasters in Indianapolis) and visiting new places around the city. Whether it's exploring outdoors with our Siberian Husky puppy, "Bane," trying the latest (or old yet still greatest) food spots, volunteering with Best Buddies Indiana, trying to eat/shop/walk and talk my way through the Fishers Farmers Market, cheering on my hometown Chicago Bears, new hometown Colts, and IU Hoosiers (shout out to the class of '13) or traveling to see friends and family on the weekends, I am still checking in as a way to keep up with our readers and our city. You can bet I was all over the fall 2017 opening of the Fishers Portillo's location and highly enjoyed hearing what your favorite menu items are. I couldn't let a Chicagoland staple come to Fishers without letting readers know.

Hundreds of Patch readers have also stayed up to date by "liking" the Fishers Patch Facebook page. If you haven't liked our page yet, please give it a try. If you're already on the page, please share with a friend so we can continue growing and bringing you the latest Fishers updates.
We were able to get dozens of subscribers this spring while also highlighting an excellent Fishers business through our newsletter subscription contest with Four Day Ray. Fishers own brewery is filled with great food, beer, live music and more. The contest is our fun way of sharing Patch and a local business with the community, and thanking some lucky subscribers in return. Stay tuned for the (very) upcoming area Patch newsletter subscription contest.

Here's another fun fact about Patch: Did you know that Patch is among the 100 most trafficked websites in the United States? Patch ranks 91st on the most viewed websites in the country, according to Alexa. Fishers Patch is part of a broad network, with more than 1,200 across the United States. That's a lot of local news! Let's keep growing!
Thank you, again (and again) for your support and readership.
