Hazmat Incident Reported At Monroe Street In Anderson
Madison County Emergency Management Agency investigate a reported Hazmat incident.

ANDERSON, IN — If you're heading towards Monroe Street in Anderson, you may want to reroute. Madison County Emergency Management Agency officials say they're responding to a report of a hazmat (hazardous material) incident in the area of 2525 Monroe Street in Anderson.
This morning Madison County EMA officials asked the public to avoid the area as they worked the scene.
The Herald Bulletin reports Anderson Fire Department officials say they received a call with a report of an illegally dumped 55 gallon drum that was filled with an "unknown substance," and Madison County Hazmat has since taken the drum to IDEM for processing.
