I-69 Environmental Impact Statement Now Available

I-69 final environmental impact statement can now be reviewed in several central Indiana counties: Report

CENTRAL INDIANA β€” AP News reports the Indiana Department of Transportation says the final Tier 2 environmental impact statement leg for the last stretch of the Interstate 69 (I-69) extension in central Indiana can be viewed online and at certain libraries in the region became available Friday. On Thursday, the agency said the document, which is 1,700 pages, affirms State Road 37 from State Road 39 at Martinsville to Interstate 465 (I-465) in Indianapolis as the route for the 26-mile stretch of highway, AP News says.

The report also suggests ways to alleviate the impacts that construction could have on nature, businesses and homes, AP News reports.

An electronic version of the document can be viewed online, and AP News says printed copies of the document are available at certain public libraries in Marion, Johnson, Morgan and Hendricks counties.
