Indiana Senators Donnelly and Young call highlight Hoosier state in letter to Amazon following 'HQ2' bid deadline: Report

FISHERS, IN β Although bids to be Amazon.com's second headquarters location were due Oct. 19, Indiana's senators are hoping to persuade Amazon to consider choosing the Hoosier state for the company's new "HQ2" spot. Indiana Public Media posted a joint letter to Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos from Indiana's Democratic Sen. Joe Donnelly and Republican Sen. Todd Young, who say the state is one of the best in the U.S. when it comes to doing business. The officials mention the Indiana communities that filed bids for Amazon's second headquarters, as Patch recently reported were Indianapolis and Fishers as one, Gary, Hammond and Boone County.
Donnelly and Young didn't call out a specific Hoosier community in the letter, but instead describing Indiana as a preferred location.
