Indiana State Police Traffic Stop Reveals A Reindeer Passenger

No it wasn't Santa, but a reindeer that an Indiana State Police Master Trooper discovered was in the vehicle he pulled over: PHOTOS

Hendricks County, IN — An Indiana State Police Master Trooper got a holiday surprise when he pulled over a white 2014 Dodge van Thursday morning for a minor traffic violation. According to ISP, the driver had an extra passenger - a reindeer. ISP says after issuing the driver, Christopher Hansen (who wasn't Santa), a warning, Hansen asked M. Trooper Farris if he wanted to look at his reindeer passenger in the back of the van.

ISP said the Puttnamville Post official did indeed see an adult reindeer in the back of the van during the stop on westbound I-74 near SR 39. ISP reports Hansen explained he has a business, Silly Safaris Shows Inc. of Indianapolis, and was on his way to Attica to put on a show at an elementary school.

ISP has provided photos of the exchange, as this traffic violation turned out a little more merry than most.
