Two Children Killed, Another Airlifted In Logansport House Fire
Fire officials said they believe the fire was accidental.

CASS COUNTY, IN — Police said two children have died after a fire broke out around 1 a.m. Sunday at a home in Logansport, WXIN reported. WXIN said police also confirmed a third child - an infant - was airlifted to Riley Children's Hospital in "very good condition." Police said the child was carried out of the house by his mom, who escaped with the child by jumping, and suffered injuries, WXIN reported.
The two children killed in the blaze in the 100 block of Montgomery Street were pulled from the home's second story by Logansport Firefighters.
According to the news report, while the fire is believed to be an accident possibly due to an electrical outlet box Logansport Fire Department Assistant Fire Chief Mark Strong said it looks like the fire started on the first floor and spread to the second.
