Golf Cart Adventures Lead the Way to Active Living at Heritage Pointe of Huntington

Golf Cart Adventures Lead the Way to Active Living at Heritage Pointe of Huntington

This post was contributed by a community member.

At Heritage Pointe of Huntington in Huntington, Indiana, one of the week's most anticipated activities begins with the turn of a key.

Several times each week, residents climb aboard golf carts for leisurely rides through the community and surrounding countryside, taking in beautiful scenery while enjoying conversation, fresh air, and a change of pace. Residents from throughout the community are invited to join the outings, creating opportunities to make new friends while sharing each new adventure.

The popular rides are just one example of the full and engaging lifestyle residents enjoy every day at Heritage Pointe.

From live music concerts and arts and crafts to euchre tournaments, Yahtzee games, paddle balloon, manicures, ice cream socials, root beer floats, prayers and devotions, and country bus rides, the community's activities calendar offers something for virtually every interest and ability.

Each program is thoughtfully planned to support Heritage Pointe's holistic approach to embracing its pillars of wellness: intellectual, physical, social, spiritual, and health services.

"We work to create an energy here that comes from having so many choices," said Brad Fuller, Activities Director. "Our goal is much more than filling the calendar. Every activity is an opportunity for residents to build friendships, stay active, discover new interests, and find joy in everyday life."
