The chapter also announced a Wreaths Across America ceremony at Green Lawn Cemetery on December 19, inviting residents to sponsor wreaths and attend.
• Mining Indiana State Land Patents (clintoncountydailynews.com) — Frankfort residents interested in genealogy can catch Dr. Jim Odell's deep dive into Indiana state land patents at the Frankfort Community Public Library on Sept. 26. For a $5 registration fee, attendees will learn how to locate and interpret historic land records that can unlock new details about family and local history.
• Clinton Prairie Elementary Students Raise More Than $6,000 for United Way (in.gov) — In Frankfort, Clinton Prairie Elementary students and staff recently raised more than $6,200 for United Way, surpassing their $5,000 goal. A week of friendly grade-level competitions ended with a celebratory assembly where Principal Luke Harlow and fifth-grade teachers were pied, highlighting how local kids are learning generosity while supporting programs across Clinton County.
