Local families can next cheer on GJHS runners at Brown County on September 19, where races begin at 9 a.m.

β’ Home on the Rangeβ¦ and Back on the Square: The Bison Returns! (wtreradio.com) β Greensburg's iconic bison statue is back on the courthouse square after a yearlong restoration donated by local artist Ryan Walterman. Originally created for the 2016 Bison-tennial project and purchased by Visit Greensburg, United Fund, and the City of Greensburg, the refreshed sculpture is intended to remain a downtown fixture for years to come.

β’ 11 Indiana animal shelters join US initiative, will temporarily lower adoption fees (wishtv.com) β Greensburg-area pet lovers can adopt from the Greensburg Decatur County Animal Shelter at reduced fees this month, thanks to a statewide "Empty the Shelters" campaign. Eleven Indiana shelters, backed by the Bissell Pet Foundation, will cut adoption costs to $70 or less from Friday through September 30 to ease overcrowding and help more animals find homes.
