• Amazon Plans $100 Million Manufacturing Facility in Indiana (supplychain247.com) — Amazon plans to open a $100 million manufacturing facility in Greenwood by 2028, bringing about 300 engineering and manufacturing jobs averaging nearly $100,000 a year. The 585,000-square-foot plant will handle fabrication, robotic welding, coating, and assembly work that supports Amazon's North American operations, adding a major new employer to Greenwood's growing industrial base.
• 2026-09-29 Daily Journal 60164131 (dailyjournal.net) — A Greenwood home at 679 Greenway Street in the Villages at Grassy Creek is scheduled for an online sheriff's sale on November 19, 2026, as part of a foreclosure case. Interested bidders can participate via zeusauction.com, though the Johnson County Sheriff's Office cautions that the published street address is not guaranteed to be accurate.
• Popular Buc-ee's revealed to be invading another new area (beaumontenterprise.com) — Greenwood is slated to get Indiana's first Buc-ee's travel center by late 2028, after the project recently received development approval. While this article mainly focuses on a proposed Oklahoma City location, it confirms that Greenwood's massive gas-and-convenience stop is officially moving forward and will add a new road-trip destination along local highways.
