• 19-Year-Old Hammond Man Charged With Two Counts Of Murder In Double Homicide (regionnewssource.org) — A 19-year-old Hammond resident has been charged with two counts of murder after two men were found fatally shot in a Hammond alley on October 3. Investigators tied him to the scene through neighborhood and Walmart surveillance, a Buick Enclave, and a recovered cellphone. He was arrested at the Hammond Walmart and is now held in Lake County Jail pending further court proceedings.
