Downtown Hammond's 18th Street Distillery To Expand
An outdoor area next to the building will be developed into a space for Family Fun Nights And Game Nights.

Mayor Thomas M. McDermott, Jr. and the Department of Planning and Development are pleased to announce that 18th Street Distillery continues to grow and expand in Downtown Hammond. They recently purchased a vacant mechanic garage building on Fayette Street and will fully rehab it into a new distillery and tasting room. Also included in the building will be two new, innovative rental units β first of their kind in Downtown Hammond.

βWe are excited to create new, modern residential units in Downtown Hammond. Our goal is always to preserve the original buildings that weβve purchased. We are thrilled to be in a position to continue to positively impact this great community,β said owner Drew Fox. βOur goal is always to preserve the original buildings that weβve purchased.β
Also slated for this expansion is a lively outdoor area adjacent to the building. βThe outdoor area will be for Family Fun Nights and Game Nights; an outdoor space to provide residents from Hammond, and the surrounding communities, a family friendly experience in Downtown Hammond,β said Fox. There will also be a patio for food and beverages and an herb and botanical garden, used by both the Brewery and Distillery for their food and spirits.
