The safety and security of our students and staff are of the utmost importance. We want to address these concerns and provide students and staff a chance to pause and reflect on the experience, which is why tomorrow will be an asynchronous e-learning day for all SCH middle and high schools, including the Area Career Center. The elementary schools will remain in person.
Middle and high school students should log on to Google Classroom by 9 a.m. for their assignments. Students not yet assigned a Chromebook will be given until Friday to complete their projects.

Starting Tuesday, classes will resume in person and there will be increased security measures at each secondary school, including wanding and additional police presence.
Counselors are available to students and staff throughout the week. Once again, we thank our teachers and staff for calming our students, the Hammond Police Department for their immediate response, and anyone who sent calls or tips to Detective Sgt. Jajowka.
