• Douglas Cup Hits Quarter-Century Mark This Saturday (decaturtribune.com) — Hobart's own Deep River Grinders are heading to Springfield-Decatur this Saturday to compete in the 25th Stephen A. Douglas Cup, Illinois' longest-running vintage base ball festival. Fans can catch seven-inning, 1860s-style games at Rock Springs Nature Area, bring lawn chairs for limited seating, and even join in to try the no-glove vintage game themselves.
