• Hope Town Council approves 11 cent water tracker increase (therepublic.com) — Hope residents will see their water tracker charge rise by 11 cents, to 41 cents per 1,000 gallons, after the Town Council approved the increase 4-0 this week. A financial consultant reassured councilors that the town is actually undercollecting for purchased water, and that fire department usage is already built into the tracker calculations.
   

• Big week ahead for Dirt Late Model racing fans (therepublic.com) — A big stretch of dirt late model racing is coming up at Lincoln Park, Brownstown, and other Indiana tracks, and Hope’s own Hudson O’Neal enters the week sitting second in two major series points races.
