2nd Priest In 2 Weeks Suspended From Archdiocese Of Indianapolis
Archdiocese of Indianapolis released statement regarding suspension of Fr. Doyle.

INDIANAPOLIS, IN — The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Indianapolis released a statement Wednesday that said it's suspended Fr. Patrick Doyle, a longtime local priest for the archdiocese. In the statement, the archdiocese said Fr. Doyle has been suspended after the archdiocese's victim assistance coordinator received a report on Sept. 4 regarding sexual misconduct several decades ago.
According to the statement, the archdiocese has notified civil authorities as well the Archdiocesan Review Board of the allegation.
Fr. Doyle came to Indianapolis as a director of the Christian Formation Program and part-time instructor at Bishop Chatard High School in 1979, and has worked at several other Indianapolis-area parishes, the archdiocese reported.

Fr. Doyle's suspension is the archdiocese's second in the last two weeks, as the archdiocese suspended Fr. John Maung Aug. 29 after an individual made a report to the Archdiocese that they were abused as a child several decades ago.
Fr. Maung has been suspended from all public ministry while an investigation is pending. The archdiocese said civil authorities and the Archdiocesan Review Board have been notified of the allegation.
