'All Clear' Given After Suspicious Package Found At Bus Station

IMPD, bomb squad open downtown streets after closing them due to a suspicious package found at Indianapolis Transit Center: Report

INDIANAPOLIS, IN — IndyStar reports a bomb squad has given the "all clear" after downtown streets were closed for more than an hour Monday as Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officials investigated a suspicious package at the Indianapolis Transit Center near Delaware and Washington streets. According to the news outlet, the package turned out to be a bed roll and a box that had dishes and a cooking pan inside. The bed roll and box had been left on a bench at the bus station, IndyStar says.

An employee at Marion County Community Corrections told Patch they received an email from IMPD, telling them to avoid the area.
