1. Indy to offer southside data center $242M in tax breaks (mirrorindy.org) — Indianapolis officials are weighing nearly $242 million in tax abatements for Sabey Data Centers' massive Decatur Township campus, one of the city's largest private investments. The deal would still generate tens of millions for Marion County, Decatur Township schools, and the Indianapolis Public Library, plus fund road work and a new aquatic center, even as some residents challenge the project in court over health and property concerns.
2. IMPD solves 4 different murders leading to arrests, charges against 4 men in the span of 24 hours (fox59.com) — Four men have been arrested and charged with murder in separate homicide cases across Indianapolis, all solved within a single 24-hour span by IMPD. Investigators credit witnesses, surveillance video, and DNA evidence for helping close cases stretching back 20 months, including shootings at local apartments, motels, and a downtown hotel. All four suspects are currently being held without bond.
3. Woman dead after a 3-vehicle crash on Indy's south side (fox59.com) — A woman has died after a three-vehicle crash Wednesday evening on Madison Avenue on Indianapolis' south side, and police have shut down the road between E Stop 10 Road and Brewer Drive for several hours. IMPD's fatal crash team is investigating, and drivers in the area should expect delays and seek alternate routes while the scene is processed.
4. Indianapolis brewery finds baby raccoon in shipment from Florida (wthr.com) — An Indianapolis Sun King Brewery crew got a surprise when they found a week‑old raccoon kit hidden in a shipment that likely traveled all the way from Florida. Fortville-based nonprofit Rewilding Indiana has taken in the raccoon, nicknamed Wee Mac after a popular Sun King beer, and plans to care for him through the winter before releasing him into the wild next year.
