IN Blood Center Sending Blood For Texas School Shooting Victims

Hospital in Texas reached out to Indiana Blood Center for help following deadly shooting at Santa Fe High School.

ACROSS INDIANA — Indiana Blood Center officials says they've responded to a request for help from a hospital in Santa Fe after at Patch reported at least eight people, possibly as many as 10, are dead following a shooting Friday morning at a Houston area high school. IBC says they've immediately responded, donating a shipment of blood and platelets to the hospital, adding that their "hearts are with the Santa Fe school community."

In a tweet posted Friday afternoon, IBC said, "Our gratitude is with all the donors who ensured that we had the blood on the shelves to help those patients. ."
