Cadillac Ranch, Bartini’s Indy closes Downtown
Granite City Brewery closes the Jackson Street Cadillac Ranch and Bartini's location downtown: Report

INDIANAPOLIS, IN — Downtown Indianapolis business Cadillac Ranch/Bartini's Indy has closed, Fox59 reports, saying Granite City Food and Brewery made the announcement Wednesday. The closing of the downtown spot means nearly 50 employees are now without a job, Fox 59 reports. The news outlet adds the Indianapolis closing is one of four locations shutting their doors across the Midwest including Granite City locations in in East Wichita, Kansas, West Wichita, Kansas, and Madison, Wisconsin.
Nicholas Lake, Cadillac Ranch/Bartini's Indy's general manager the last three years, said the closure was primarily caused by the competition of new businesses opening in the area, with updated environments, Fox59 reports.
The 39 Jackson Place spot was home to Cadillac Ranch since Dec. 2009 and Bartini's since Oct. 2010 before being bought by Granite City in 2012.
