Child, Grandma Hit By Car At Bus Stop Near Northwest Side

Both child and grandmother were taken to area hospitals.

INDIANAPOLIS, IN — A child and his grandmother were hit by a car while standing at a bus stop Monday morning on the city's near northwest side. According to police, a black car traveling northbound on Rader Street flew through a stop sign and caused a crash just after 7 a.m., leading to one of the cars spinning and hitting the woman and her 6 or 7-year-old grandson standing at the bus stop at the intersection of West 29th and Rader, WTTV reported.

The child was taken to Riley Hospital and the grandmother was taken to Eskenazi Hospital, both with non life-threatening injuries.
