Colts DE Chris McCain Charged With Battery

Nearly one month after the Indianapolis Colts signed Chris McCain as a free agent, the NFL player is being charged with battery.

INDIANAPOLIS, IN — An Indianapolis Colts defensive end has been charged with battery following a january incident in Los Angeles. According to TMZ Sports, Chris McCain, 26, has been formally charged with two misdemeanor counts of battery. The news source says according to official documents, the former Los Angeles Charger is accused of spitting on a woman and grabbing her neck on Jan. 7.

McCain faces up to six months in jail, in addition to probation and fines if he's convicted.

The Colts reported they signed McCain last month as a free agent, following his 2017 season with the Los Angeles Chargers.
