Community Partnerships

[Richmond, IN, May 22, 2024] — Communities In Schools of Wayne County (CISWC), a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting students in Wayne County, Indiana, is pleased to announce that it has been awarded a generous grant from State Farm to help fund its Ready, Set, Grow program.

The Ready, Set, Grow program, a cornerstone initiative of CISWC, focuses on providing essential basic needs items to students in Wayne County to ensure they have the tools and resources necessary to thrive in their educational journey. From hygiene products to school supplies, clothes, shoes, and so much more, Ready, Set, Grow aims to alleviate barriers to academic success by addressing students' fundamental needs.

Thanks to the generous support from State Farm, CIS has been able to significantly expand the reach and impact of the Ready, Set, Grow program during the 2023-24 school year. With funding from this grant and others, over 6,000 essential items were distributed to students across Wayne County, empowering them to engage more fully in their education and pursue their dreams with confidence.

The partnership between CISWC and State Farm underscores a shared dedication to fostering educational equity and empowering the next generation of leaders. By investing in programs like Ready, Set, Grow, State Farm demonstrates its commitment to making a positive impact in communities and creating opportunities for all students to thrive.
