INDIANAPOLIS, IN — It's always a happy Tuesday when IndyHumane shares their Pets of the Week, especially when this week's are Mary Kate and Sparkles. Mary Kate is a female shelter dog at IndyHumane, and Sparkles is a female shelter cat. The shelter describes them both for interested owners:

Mary Kate is two-years-old, who the shelter says is a sweet little pup with big ears and an even bigger heart. She's a bit shy at first, but becomes active and spunky once she's comfortable and is looking for a family who is ready to socialize and have fun.

Animal Care Services Running Holiday Adoption Promotion

Sparkles is a six-year-old female cat who the shelter says is a quiet, affectionate kitty, looking for an easygoing, low-traffic home. Sparkles thrives in a calm environment and is incredibly loving when she's relaxed. The shelter advises Sparkles will do best without other young children or animals, as they can easily overwhelm her.

Sparkles can be yours for a $40 fee.
