Grandma Feels 'Vulnerable' After Livestream Walmart Flour Attack

Indianapolis man streams himself on Facebook Live showing him attacking a Grandmother with flour.

BEECH GROVE, IN — An Indianapolis man was arrested on charges of criminal mischief and several other offenses after assaulting a grandmother by pouring flour over her head at a Beech Grove Walmart Wednesday. WTHR reported 22-year-old Phillip Weaver posted a Facebook Live stream (shown below) with the comment, "This was fun" from his own page around 2 p.m. showing him pour a bag of flour over the woman's head as she shrieks, before he's seen laughing and running from the store.

Weaver also posted a video of himself that same day, hitting people in the head with a large bean bag as he walked down a store aisle. That video is shown below.

Luckily, an off-duty IMPD officer working at the Walmart was alerted to the incident by staff, WTHR said, adding that according to the officer's report, the woman was crying and told him the incident took place while she was buying clothes for her grandchildren.

WTHR reported the officer said he was then able to identify the suspect as Phillip Weaver, and police arrested the man on charges of battery, theft, criminal mischief and theft of a firearm. As of Thursday night, Weaver remained in the Marion County Jail.

According to WTHR, the 68-year-old grandmother said she feels vulnerable. "I am handicapped. I'm an older person and I could have had a heart attack. I could have fallen and then I would have been really hurt. Why Me?" she asked, tearing up. Why did you do it? It's not funny," she told the news source.
