IFD: Missing 27-Year-Old With Autism Located

INDIANAPOLIS, IN — Indianapolis Fire Department officials say a missing 27-year-old who went missing Monday morning near 11th and Rural has been located. IFD says Kevin Philpot has been found at the Day Center at 16th and Lafayette Road and is safe and okay.

IFD officials say their team, including search and rescue crews and Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department members are searching for 27-year-old Kevin Philpot, who they say was last seen at 11th and Rural at 8:06 a.m. Monday and is autistic. IFD officials say Philpot was last seen wearing a brown t-shirt, blue jeans and sneakers.
According to IFD, Philpot was heading in the southeast direction and his typical boundaries include North Brookside, West Tacoma, South 10th Street and East Oxford.

Authorities are asking anyone with information on his whereabouts to call 911.
