INDIANAPOLIS, IN -- An Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department official is injured after getting hit by a car downtown Friday morning. IMPD officials tell Patch Captain John Walton was clipped by a car on Delaware Street between Washington and Market Streets, before he was taken to an area hospital for minor, non-life threatening injuries.
IMPD officials say the driver of the car stayed on scene and is cooperating with police.
