IMPD says robbery detectives arrested two adults for several vehicle thefts outside of hotel: Report

INDIANAPOLIS, IN – Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department Robbery Detectives have arrested two people after a theft investigation on the city’s northwest side, officials report. IMPD says detectives arrested 27-year-old Catherine Dates and 31-year-old Ernest Holifield (pictured) during a traffic stop of a truck suspected in the investigation. According to IMPD this started when detectives noticed an increase in overnight theft from cars parked at hotels on the cities north and northwest side.

Police say a witness gave valuable information to detectives, and while conducting surveillance, officials were able see the truck in question leaving a business in the 7500 block of Georgetown Road.

Detectives arrived to several cars that had been broken into, and called for the assistance of Northwest district officers who conducted the traffic stop of the suspected truck, police say.
