IMPD Locates Stolen SUV Taken From Northeast Homicide Scene: Report

INDIANAPOLIS, IN — Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department says a stolen Kia SUV has been located after it was taken during a northeast homicide scene Tuesday morning. IMPD said the 2014 Kia Soul taken in Daniel Drive Homicide was located on the northeast side of Indianapolis Wednesday, and thanks the public for their help.

Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department Homicide detectives are asking for the public's help in locating a stolen vehicle they say was taken during a northeast homicide on Daniel Drive early Tuesday Morning, Oct. 17. Detectives are looking for a dark blue (almost charcoal in color) 2014 Kia Soul. The vehicle will have a paper plate or plate #ABM259.

Police ask you call 911 immediately if you see this vehicle.

IMPD said officers were called to a home in the 5200 block of Daniel Drive just after 1 a.m. Tuesday where they found a 64-year-old unresponsive man. EMS crew members declared the victim dead, and detectives began searching the area for any information in this case.

The Indianapolis – Marion County Forensic Services Agency and the Marion County Coroner’s Office (MCCO) are assisting in this investigation, and MCCO will work to figure out a cause of death.
