Indiana Hate Groups: Map Shows Active Racist Organizations

INDIANAPOLIS, IN — Violence became the center of a Saturday afternoon in Charlottesville, Virginia when white nationalists gathered for a "Unite the Right" march, stirring up counter-protests, brawls and the death of an anti-racism protester. The Southern Poverty Law Center is showing America that organized hate goes beyond what happened Aug. 14, listing 26 active hate groups are active in Indiana. That's more than two-dozen of the nearly 1,000 organizations across the U.S. meeting the SPLC's criteria for being recognized as a hate group.

From anti-LGBTQ to anti-Immigrant organizations, Indiana's groups are shown by name and location on the SLPC website's interactive map. Here's where the groups are active in Indiana:
