Indiana GOP's 'ObamaCare Horror Story' Facebook Question Backfires
While thousands comment against the repeal of the Affordable Care Act, some post support.

INDIANAPOLIS, IN — The Indiana Republican Party took to Facebook Monday to ask the question, "What's your Obamacare horror story? Let us know." Two days later, the post has been shared just under 6,000 times and has brought in over 8,200 comments — but not necessarily the kind of answers the GOP was hoping to elicit. The question generated thousands of unexpected answers, mostly in support of Obamacare, formally known as the Affordable Care Act:
"I can still walk today, thanks to Obamacare."
"I was without healthcare for 5 years until the ACA made it affordable for me. "

"I was finally able to get my mental illness under control so I could be a better parent and return to the workforce. #thanksobama"
"It has been a nightmare! My sons are able to afford insurance now and my own insurance rates dropped by 17%. Curse you, Obama!"

In a statement published in a report by The Indianapolis Star, Kyle Hupfer, Indiana Republican Party State Chairman said the following:
“This is what you would expect when Democratic National Committee affiliated groups begin to share the message across social media and ask their folks to engage. What we know is that these responses do not represent the majority of Hoosiers who, when asked, time and time again say they want Obamacare repealed.”
But with the growing number of responses also came some showing support of repealing Obamacare:
With Obamacare, our premiums went up and doctors don't want to perform surgeries or give quality healthcare because they are limited on funds.
"Obamacare was and is a joke! "
"Total ripoff."
According to an Indiana GOP spokesman, since the post was published Monday, it has been posted by other political party groups, and has led to several emails and messages from people claiming they've been hurt by Obamacare but didn't want to post their stories on Facebook.
