Indiana Silver Alert Cancelled In Search For Missing 78-Year-Old Fort Wayne Man

FORT WAYNE, IN — An Indiana Silver Alert issued Monday Aug. 7 in the search for 78-year-old Robert Runyen has been cancelled. The Fort Wayne Police Department requested the cancellation at 1:45 a.m. Tuesday, Indiana State Police reports. For more information, contact the Fort Wayne Police Department at 260-427-2213.

An Indiana Silver Alert has been issued by Indiana State Police, reporting the Fort Wayne Police Department is investigating the disappearance of an elderly man from Fort Wayne. Police report 78-year-old Robert Runyen was last seen 9 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 6 in Fort Wayne, wearing an unknown colored t-shirt, black slacks and white tennis shoes. Police believe Runyen is driving a dark blue 2004 Buick LeSabre with an Illinois license plate 203711, and is believed to be in danger.

Police describe Runyen as 5 feet, 9 inches tall, 275 pounds, with blue eyes and grey hair. He may be disoriented and require medical assistance.
