Indianapolis Colts Detail Weeklong Celebration For Peyton Manning

INDIANAPOLIS, IN – All Indianapolis Colts fans are invited to celebrate Peyton Manning next week, during a week-long festivities for the former quarterback great, the team announced. Celebrations include the unveiling of Manning's statue outside Lucas Oil Stadium on Saturday, Oct. 7, and the retirement of his jersey the following day during halftime of the Colts and 49ers game. In addition, the team said their "Letters to Peyton" campaign invites fans to show appreciation for Manning by writing letters, which can be submitted through October 8 online at colts.com/Peyton, through a social media post using #ThankYouPeyton, dropped off at participating Indiana Papa John’s locations or the Colts Pro Shop in Lucas Oil Stadium, or be mailed to: Indianapolis Colts, Attn: Letters to Peyton, PO Box 53012, Indianapolis, IN 46253.

Commemorative Posters:

Starting Oct. 3, fans can get Peyton Manning posters at participating Indiana Papa Johns locations. There are a limited number available, only one per customer. The commemorative posters will also be available to fans who attend the statue unveiling ceremony on Saturday, October 7, at Lucas Oil Stadium, while supplies last.

Live Statue: The Colts have teamed up with world-renowned artist and performer Robert Shangle, to create a live bronze statue of Peyton Manning for fans to take photos with around Downtown Indianapolis on Friday, Oct.6, and at the statue unveiling ceremony on Saturday, October 7.

Statue Unveiling Ceremony: On Saturday, Oct. 7, at 3 p.m., the Indianapolis Colts will host a special, free ceremony to unveil the statue of Peyton Manning outside the north end of Lucas Oil Stadium. Gates open at 12 p.m.

Ring of Honor Induction and Jersey Retirement: The team's week-long celebration honoring Peyton will come to an end Sunday, Oct. 8 when Peyton is inducted into the Indianapolis Colts Ring of Honor, and his jersey his retired at halftime during 49ers game. Fans must have a game ticket in order to attend. Tickets are available at Ticketmaster.com or by calling 1-800-745-3000.
