Indianapolis Colts Put QB Andrew Luck On Injured Reserve

Colts announce Andrew Luck has been placed on injury reserve due to shoulder injury. What head coach Chuck Pagano is saying: Report

The Colts have finally announced quarterback Andrew Luck is now on the team's injured reserve list. Team officials made the announcement Thursday regarding the second-half of the NFL season. Head coach Chuck Pagano said to Colts media, "No one wants to be back more than him," but reassuring fans Luck would be back.

ESPN reports the decision to place Luck on IR came after the quarterback saw doctors this week to ask why his right shoulder was still sore, nearly 10 months after having surgery in January.

The team's general manager Greg Ballard isn't putting a timetable on Luck's return to the field, adding the player will continue rehabbing his shoulder at different places

"I wish I was better and 100 percent this season, but that's not the case," Luck said to the team's website. "I know I'll be better from this. I know I'll be a better quarterback, teammate, person and player from this, and I'm excited for the future."

This news comes two weeks after the team announced doctors and trainers gave luck a cortisone shot to help with inflammation in his right shoulder.
