Indianapolis Man Sentenced 125 Years For Bloomington Rapes

BLOOMINGTON, IN — An Indianapolis man convicted of more than a dozen felonies for raping and robbing two Indiana University students has been sentenced to 125½ years in prison, AP News reports. According to the news source, Monroe Circuit Judge Marc Kellams said 22-year-old Vaylan Glazebrook hasn't shown remorse for the crimes and therefore the judge hasn't found a reason to reduce the sentence.

AP News reports Kellams said the two victims, both female, experienced a living nightmare when Glazebrook and co-defendant Michael Deweese held them at gunpoint in 2014.

AP News says The Herald-Times reports Glazebrook also was convicted of attempted murder for shooting at a Bloomington police officer who responded to a 911 call from a third woman who shared the apartment with the other two woman and hid in her bedroom closet.
